About

A founder-led AI engineering practice

CarabAI identifies where companies lose time, leads, operational capacity or revenue, then builds focused AI systems to address those problems.

The team

Founder-led, deliberately

CarabAI is run by one person who does the engineering. That is a constraint rather than a growth stage: it limits how many projects run at once, and it means the person who scoped the work is the person who builds it. You will not be handed to an account layer.

How we think

Business outcomes before AI hype

Four principles that decide what gets built and, more often, what does not.

A measurable problem, or no project

If we cannot agree what would count as an improvement and how it would be observed, we would rather wait than build something nobody can evaluate.

The smallest useful intervention

The first version does one thing against one workflow. Breadth is something a system earns after the narrow version has proved the opportunity is real.

Human review where judgement matters

Automation handles the repetitive and the well-defined. Anything ambiguous, sensitive or novel escalates to a person by design, not by accident.

Honesty over the sale

When the right answer is a process change, a setting in software you already own, or doing nothing, we say so. It costs projects and keeps the advice worth asking for.

The name

Charts before voyages

The visual language of this site borrows from navigation: routes plotted between waypoints, depth contours, bearings. It is not decoration for its own sake.

A chart is useful because it records what is actually known and leaves the unknown blank rather than guessing. That is the standard we hold the audit and every proposal to. Where we do not know something, the report says so.
